What Will You Be Doing?

Provides instruction and overall quality oversight to contracted vendor Technicians. Performs inspection on aircraft as required. Assists with the administration of company, department, and other applicable policies with an emphasis on safety and regulatory elements.

Essential Functions
Manage, monitor, and coordinate SMS activities as directed. These duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinate the development, implementation, maintenance, and integration of the SMS throughout Frontier
Identify hazards and safety risk assessments including change management – Ensure effectiveness of safety risk controls
Promote safety
Advise the accountable executive on the performance of the SMS and on any need for improvement
Accountable for achieving safety performance relative to job tasks
Manage risk acceptable level: green or lower as defined by Frontier’s company risk matrix
Conduct audits of the CAMP organization, the systems and procedures used in maintaining the compliance requirements of the FAA-approved Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CAS System)
Provide oversight in the preparation and issuance of all audit reports regarding the hazards and risks found during audits of the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) and identify required corrective actions needed to transfer, eliminate, accept, and/or mitigate these risks and monitor progress toward completion of these actions.
Perform inspections, audits and surveillance of contractor activities, in support of CAMP requirements, at all contracted maintenance and Frontier Line Stations, including vendors of repair and overhaul services, fueling services, and surplus part distributors.
Review FMIS for surveillance audit due dates, schedule and assign audits before the due dates. Extend audits in FMIS that have reached or approaching the due dates.
Provide leadership and technical support to all of the other auditors.
Train Auditors on the use of FMIS quality, materials, training and other modules required for auditing.

Other Functions
Evaluate auditors experience and knowledge to provide the training and guidance required to become a thorough successful auditor.
Complete and maintain training records for all auditors
Provide constant oversight for safety and compliance related issues at all line stations and fueling facilities.
Audit and monitor the aircraft maintenance and inspection functions to ensure the airworthiness and proper completion of maintenance on Frontier aircraft at all outsourced line and heavy maintenance facilities.
VDRP Ensure that department personnel, including themselves, are properly trained, qualified, and current to perform assigned tasks VDRP
VDRP Maintain familiarization with the training requirements necessary as defined in the GMM 100.03: Maintenance Training for Maintenance Organization Personnel and ensure training is current prior to performing the functions and tasks of this position VDRP
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager of Quality Assurance.

Qualifications
Current Mechanic Certificate with both airframe and powerplant ratings, held for at least five years
Three years of maintenance experience on different types of large airplanes with 10 or more passenger seats with an air carrier or certificated repair station, one year of which must have been as maintenance inspector
Preferred – At least 1 year of prior experience in a supervisory capacity maintaining same the category and class of aircraft as Frontier Airlines fleet
Requires the ability to obtain, hold, and maintain Required Inspection Item (RII) authorization
Requires the ability to obtain and maintain Airworthiness release/return to service. Must be Fleet Qualified on Frontier’s aircraft
Must have a current US Passport or shall be able to obtain a US Passport within three (3) months of assignment in the Inspection Department
Must demonstrate behavior that portrays the company core values of Safety, Respect, Trust, Collaboration, Value, and Passion while communicating with personnel and acting on behalf of the company

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
FAA A&P Certificate, and a minimum of 5+ years of commercial aviation maintenance, Quality Assurance, or Regulatory Compliance with a 14 CFR 121 Air Carrier or maintenance support experience.
Required – Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (Part 21, 25, 43, 65, 121, 145, etc.), Airworthiness Directives, and Manufacturer Service Documents (ICA, SB, SL, etc.).
Required – Through knowledge and understanding of ATA 103 Standard for Jet Fuel Quality Control at Airports.
Required – Through knowledge of FAA Flight Standards Information Management System – 8900.1 and SAS DCT checklists.
Required – Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects to balance work within the group.
Required – Excellent organization, prioritization, presentation, and report writing skills.
Required – Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and IT systems knowledge (TRAX, SCEPTRE, etc.).
Required – Must be able to travel, work flexible hours, and work beyond regular hours, including weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours.

Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.

General Direction: The incumbent normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.

Position provides oversight of both contracted and Company elements within the scope of the GMM and all Technical Operations

Salary Range: $65,000.00 – $93,525.00
