- The Maintenance Utility Worker assists mechanic service and turn aircraft to help assure on time departures and avoid equipment related flight cancellations.
- This worker maintains the physical condition of equipment/facilities. Additionally, the day shift worker maintains the Maintenance Building physical conditions and facilities.
- Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
- Utilizes appropriate detergents, solutions, and equipment to effectively and efficiently accomplish shop and aircraft related functions, such as: parts transportation, parts cleaning, preparation of parts for painting/processing, parts and equipment touch-up painting, and shop and facilities cleaning.
- Requires outside work.
- Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions (lift 50lbs).
- Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Must be a team player and a self-starter.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and either rotating or fixed shifts.
- Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
- Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
- Must have the ability to pass an extensive background check, drug test and audiogram and be authorized to work in the US.
- Must be able to read and write English and be able to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals
- Must meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions, including the ability to lift at least 70 pounds
- (If transferring internally) Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.

- Previous Forklift, Motorized cart experience.
