For more information, please visit: www.POWDR.com. Job Summary: POWDR is seeking a full time, year-round Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team! This position will report into the Accounting Manager and provide general accounting best practices and GAAP to our accounting transactions. We have the expectation of working in person at the office at least 10% of the time. As such, this position will be required to be in located within the Park City, UT area. We are not able to offer a permanent 100% remote option. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
- Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to accounting transactions.
- Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Enhance job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Up to 2 years’ experience in the accounting/finance field preferred.
- Advanced computer knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Must demonstrate solid business acumen and ability to dig into financial details with a big picture perspective.
- Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills for working with employees at all levels of the company.
- Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and/or Coupa experience a plus. Personal Attributes:
